This is Dog Mountain a magical
place where renown artist, Stephen Huneck dedicated a track of land to be
used for a show room, furniture manufacturing and even a Chapel for dogs.
He has written a whimsical book dedicated to the Chapel, published by Harry
N. Abrams Inc. Interior pictures of the Chapel appear in the book. It was
a great opportunity for me as an Architect to work with him on the design. |

A simple New England Church with
two crisscrossing laminated arches rising to a center windowed copula and
steeple. This copula lifts your eyes to light and sky above. At the sanutary
end of the building I suggested the use of antique stain glass windows creating
a soft array of color which brings your attention to the Lectern in front
of them. On each side of the church is a large window area formed by several
mullioned windows helping to join the exterior and interior. |

This is the first project I designed
for the Trout House Village Resort, which was featured in three books written
by Robbin Obomsawin. It is a very popular cottage having a warm, intimate
and interesting interior, also with great views to the lake and surrounding
mountains. This was the first cottage for the resort incorporating Log Element
construction into the design. Scott was so happy with the building he had
me use Log Element design for his new home.

Glen Road Shopping Plaza is a project
in which I have designed over a period of (10) years, consisting of several
stages and three different owners. The street level is made up of retail
shops of various sizes which can be rearranged to meet tenants requirements
because of the flexible structural system. There is a second floor over
some areas for office rentals. |

A contemporary moderated size office
building. Designed to take advantage of the sloping grade; access is from
the lower and upper levels thus two different tenants can have separate
parking areas allowing direct access to their office spaces. The client
further requested the use of cost effective, low maintenance materials be
used on the exterior. This client also wanted the building to be flexible
in it's interior design so that one tenant could have the option to rent
both lower and upper spaces. |
